PRIVATE EVENT RULES & TERMS
Please review the BLANC Studio Private Event Terms before your event
These Private Event Rules & Terms apply to all events held at Blanc Studio. By booking an event and signing the Private Event Waiver & Agreement, the Event Organizer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. BOOKING TIME
  • Your booking time includes all setup, deliveries, vendor access, event activities, cleanup, teardown, and removal of belongings.
  • The studio must be fully cleared and returned to its original condition by the end of the booked time.
  • If additional time is required, it must be approved by BLANC Studio and will be charged at the applicable event overtime rate. Unapproved overtime may also result in additional charges.

2. EVENT ORGANIZER RESPONSIBILITY

The person or company booking the event (“Event Organizer”) is responsible for the event and for the conduct of all guests, vendors, contractors, caterers, rental companies, and other attendees.
The Event Organizer is responsible for ensuring that all guests and vendors comply with these Rules & Terms.
Any damage, excessive cleaning, overtime, missing property, or other additional costs resulting from the event remain the responsibility of the Event Organizer.

3. CLEANING & STUDIO RESET

The studio must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was provided.

Before leaving, the Event Organizer is responsible for:
  • removing all personal belongings, decorations, food, beverages, packaging, rental items, and event materials;
  • disposing of waste in the designated areas;
  • cleaning any spills or significant mess;
  • returning furniture, props, and studio items to their original locations.
Standard cleaning following normal event use is expected.

If the studio is left in a condition requiring excessive or deep cleaning — including significant spills, stains, food or beverage residue, excessive waste, or other cleaning beyond normal use — an additional cleaning fee will apply.
The fee will be based on the amount of cleaning required and any reasonable professional cleaning costs incurred by Blanc Studio.

4. DAMAGE & STUDIO PROPERTY

The Event Organizer is financially responsible for damage caused during the event by the organizer, guests, vendors, or contractors.
This includes damage to furniture, floors, walls, windows, fixtures, lighting and studio equipment, props, cyclorama, backdrops, and other Blanc Studio property.
Repairable damage will be charged based on the reasonable cost of repair, including any required labour or professional services.
Items that cannot reasonably be repaired, as well as missing studio property, may be charged at reasonable replacement cost.

5. FURNITURE, EQUIPMENT & DECOR

Furniture and movable studio items may be repositioned where appropriate but must be handled carefully and returned to their original locations.
Nothing may be nailed, screwed, drilled, painted, stapled, glued, or permanently attached to walls, floors, windows, ceilings, furniture, or fixtures.
Any substantial installations or décor must be approved by Blanc Studio in advance.
Confetti, glitter, smoke effects, candles, open flames, or other materials or effects that may create additional cleaning, damage, or safety concerns require prior approval.

6. FOOD & CATERING

The Event Organizer is responsible for ensuring that any food service, catering, and food vendors used for the event comply with all applicable food safety requirements, permits, and regulations.
The organizer is responsible for food and beverage spills, waste, catering materials, and any additional cleaning or damage resulting from food service.
Where applicable, the Event Organizer and/or food vendor is responsible for determining and completing any notification, registration, or other requirements imposed by Toronto Public Health.

7. ALCOHOL

The Event Organizer is solely responsible for determining whether a licence, permit, or other authorization is required for alcohol to be served, sold, supplied, or consumed at the event.
Depending on the nature of the event and how alcohol is provided, a Special Occasion Permit (SOP) or other authorization from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) may be required.
It is the Event Organizer’s responsibility to review the applicable requirements, submit any required application within the required timeframe, obtain approval before the event, and comply with all conditions of the permit or applicable liquor laws.
Where a permit or licence is required, alcohol may not be served at Blanc Studio unless the required authorization has been obtained.
Blanc Studio may request proof of the applicable permit or authorization before the event.
Current Ontario alcohol and Special Occasion Permit requirements can be reviewed through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO):

The Event Organizer is also responsible for ensuring responsible alcohol service, including compliance with applicable age restrictions and service requirements.

8. VENDORS & RENTALS

Outside vendors, including caterers, rental companies, florists, decorators, bartenders, and other event suppliers, are permitted subject to these Rules & Terms.
The Event Organizer is responsible for coordinating all vendor access, deliveries, setup, pickup, and removal.
Unless otherwise agreed in advance, all vendor activity must take place within the booked time.
Any damage, additional cleaning, overtime, or other costs caused by a vendor remain the responsibility of the Event Organizer.

9. GUESTS & CAPACITY

The agreed maximum event capacity may not be exceeded.
The Event Organizer is responsible for the conduct and safety of guests and for ensuring that guests remain within permitted studio and building areas.
Emergency exits, hallways, doors, elevators, and other building access points must remain unobstructed.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the studio or indoor common areas.

10. DELIVERIES & ITEMS LEFT BEHIND

Deliveries and pickups must take place within the booked time unless otherwise agreed with Blanc Studio in advance.
All personal belongings, decorations, rental items, food, beverages, and event materials must be removed at the end of the booking.
Blanc Studio is not responsible for personal belongings, vendor equipment, rentals, décor, or other property brought into or left at the studio, except as required by applicable law.
Reasonable costs associated with storing, removing, disposing of, or arranging the return of items left behind may be charged to the Event Organizer.

11. SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

The Event Organizer, guests, and vendors must comply with applicable laws, building rules, fire and safety requirements, and reasonable instructions provided by Blanc Studio.
Blanc Studio reserves the right to stop any activity that creates a safety risk, may cause damage to the studio or building, materially disrupts the property, or violates applicable law or these Rules & Terms.

12. ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Additional charges may apply for:
• overtime;
• excessive or deep cleaning;
• professional stain or spill treatment;
• damage and repairs;
• replacement of damaged or missing property;
• removal or disposal of items left behind;
• other reasonable costs incurred by Blanc Studio as a direct result of the event or a violation of these Rules & Terms.

Charges will be based on the nature of the issue and the reasonable cost of the additional work, repair, replacement, or service required.

By signing the Blanc Studio Private Event Waiver & Agreement, the Event Organizer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Private Event Rules & Terms.
